Key Responsibilities:
- Assisting with the preparation and submission of personal and corporate tax returns.
- Supporting senior tax staff with tax compliance and advisory tasks.
- Conducting research on tax legislation and staying up to date with changes in tax laws.
- Liaising with HMRC to resolve client queries and ensure compliance.
- Managing a portfolio of clients, ensuring all deadlines are met.
- Supporting the team with VAT returns and tax planning projects.
- Preparing correspondence with clients and assisting with general tax administration tasks. Skills and Experience
Required:
- Previous experience in a tax-focused role (preferably within an accountancy practice).
- ATT qualified or part-qualified (or willingness to work towards qualification with support).
- Good knowledge of personal and corporate tax regulations.
- Strong numerical and analytical skills with excellent attention to detail.
- Proficient in using tax software (e.g., IRIS, Digita, or similar) and Microsoft Office.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for client interaction.
