Overview
As Tax Partner, you will drive the tax offering for a growing Newport-based accountancy practice. You’ll lead business development, work with Partners on advisory and tax planning, and guide a developing tax team. You’ll build strong relationships with clients, finance staff, and owners while delivering effective SME and owner-managed business tax solutions. This role combines strategic leadership with hands-on tax expertise in a dynamic, growth-focused firm.
Responsibilities
- Drive new business opportunities and manage client relationships at firm and event levels
- Provide marketing and technical support to Partners to articulate the tax service offering
- Collaborate with Partners on advisory work and tax planning processes for clients
- Lead and develop a growing tax team, reviewing work and supporting professional development
Key requirements
- Minimum of 10 years post-qualification experience
- Strong knowledge of various areas of tax
- Experience in corporate tax related to SME and owner-managed businesses
- Proactive mindset with a desire to expand knowledge across the business
