Overview
In this role you contribute to a growing accountancy practice by handling accounts preparation and audit work for a varied client base. You will work with experienced team members, progressively taking responsibility and developing technical skills. The role supports client tax and compliance tasks while emphasising accuracy and deadlines. Responsibilities
- Prepare accounts for sole traders, partnerships, and limited companies
- Assist with statutory and year-end accounts preparation
- Support audit assignments from planning to completion
- Perform audit testing and prepare working papers
- Prepare VAT returns and assist with tax compliance
- Liaise with clients to gather information and resolve queries
- Ensure timely, accurate work and support junior staff when needed
Key requirements
- Around 2 years’ practice experience
- AAT qualified, part-qualified ACA/ACCA or studying towards a professional qualification
- Experience across accounts with some audit exposure
- Solid understanding of accounting principles and statutory accounts
- Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
- Confident in communicating with clients and colleagues
