Accounts Semi-Senior in Newport

Overview

In this role you will lead and deliver audits for a varied client base within a growing Newport practice. You will act as the main client contact, guide a team, and contribute to accounts prep and advisory work, while upholding high technical standards. The position offers progression in a supportive, flexible environment with exposure to projects like forecasts and financial due diligence. Responsibilities

• Plan, lead and complete audit fieldwork and statutory reporting in line with International Auditing Standards
• Serve as main client contact and build trusted relationships
• Support accounts preparation and provide technical input as needed
• Contribute to projects such as forecasts, grant applications and financial due diligence
• Coach and develop junior team members
• Collaborate with Audit Partners and the wider team to maintain high professional standards

Key requirements

• ACA / ACCA qualified, or part-qualified with relevant practical experience (QBE considered)
• Strong audit background (essential)
• Confident communicator with excellent project management and IT skills
• Commercially aware and able to build long-term client relationships
