Accounts Audit Senior in Newport

Overview

In this Accounts Audit Senior role, you will join a growing Newport-based accountancy practice to lead and execute audit assignments. You’ll work closely with managers and partners, delivering high-quality reporting and client advice. The position emphasizes on-site audits, client interaction, and maintaining strict standards while supporting business development. This is a hands-on opportunity to shape audit outcomes and strengthen client relationships within a collaborative team.

Responsibilities

• Liaise with Managers and Partners to ensure work meets review standards
• Conduct audits with on-site execution and client interaction
• Perform data processing and reconciliations at client premises and in-office
• Run quarterly VAT returns for clients
• Supervise audit team, providing leadership and guidance
• Ensure quality of reporting and advice across assignments
• Identify ways to maximize client relationships and provide added value
• Liaise with clients via telephone and assist with basic enquiries

Key requirements

• ACCA/ACA part or fully qualified or qualified by experience
• Comfortable working in a client-facing role
• Ability to meet deadlines and manage tasks timely
• Highly developed organizational skills
• On-site audit experience
