Due to continued growth, our client are seeking a talented Payroll Associate to join their team. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic and supportive environment and contribute to the success of a growing practice.
The Position: Reporting to the Payroll Manager, you will be responsible for:
- Processing weekly, fortnightly, four-weekly, and monthly payrolls for a variety of clients using Sage Payroll.
- Managing Bacs payments and submitting HMRC returns.
- Uploading pension data to pension providers.
- Completing year-end submissions.
- Handling client payroll queries.
- Providing holiday cover for the Payroll Manager.
Person Specification:
Essential Criteria:
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in payroll processing within an accountancy practice.
- Proven experience in running multiple client payrolls in a bureau environment.
- Proficiency in Sage Payroll.
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, Outlook).
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- A proactive and problem-solving approach.
Desirable Criteria:
- Experience with other payroll software (e.g., Xero).
- Presentation skills.
- Flexibility and ability to work under pressure.
