We’re working with a well-established and rapidly growing accountancy practice in Bristol, who are investing heavily in the growth of their tax team. Due to increased demand and internal restructuring, they’re now looking to appoint a Tax Manager, someone who can take ownership of a portfolio, lead and develop a team and play a central role in shaping the future of the department.
This is a fantastic opportunity for a recently CTA-qualified (or nearly qualified) tax professional, who is looking to step into a more managerial role with real long-term progression. Equally, this could suit an experienced tax assistant manager ready to take the next step.
What you’ll be doing:
- Managing your own portfolio of personal and corporate tax clients, including SMEs and owner managed businesses
- Leading, mentoring and reviewing the work of junior tax staff (currently 3 trainees, growing to 5)
- Overseeing and reviewing tax computations, returns and client correspondence
- Supporting the Director in maintaining strong client relationships and delivering a high standard of tax advisory and compliance work
