Salary: Competitive, depending on experienceWe’re working with a well-established and growing accountancy practice in Cardiff that is looking to add an ambitious Accounts & Audit Semi-Senior to its team.This is a great opportunity for someone with a few years’ practice experience who is looking to broaden their technical knowledge and take the next step in their career. You’ll gain exposure to a varied portfolio of clients, working across both accounts preparation and audit, while developing your skills within a supportive and forward-thinking practice.You’ll have the opportunity to work closely with experienced members of the team, build strong client relationships and take on increasing responsibility as your experience develops.The Role:Preparing accounts for sole traders, partnerships and limited companiesAssisting with statutory accounts and year-end accounts preparationSupporting audit assignments from planning through to completionCarrying out audit testing and preparing working papersPreparing VAT returns and supporting with general tax complianceLiaising with clients to obtain information and resolve queriesEnsuring work is completed accurately and within agreed deadlinesSupporting junior members of the team where requiredWhat we’re looking for:Around 2 years’ experience within an accountancy practiceAAT qualified, part-qualified ACA/ACCA or actively studying towards a professional qualificationPrevious experience across accounts and some audit exposureGood understanding of accounting principles and statutory accountsStrong attention to detail and good organisational skillsConfident communicating with clients and colleaguesWhat’s on offer?25 days’ annual leave +
