Account Manager

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an ambitious accountant to join a growing accountancy practice as an Account Manager.

This role would suit someone with a solid grounding in management accounting who is looking to develop their career, take on greater responsibility and build strong client relationships.

The Role

You will support a portfolio of clients, working closely with senior accountants and the wider team.

Responsibilities include:

• Acting as a point of contact for a portfolio of clients

• Reviewing client bookkeeping and resolving issues

• Preparing monthly management accounts and balance sheet reconciliations

• Supporting period-end processes and meeting agreed deadlines

• Analysing financial performance and providing commentary and insights

• Developing your involvement in client advisory and commercial discussions

• Maintaining accurate client records and working collaboratively with the wider team

About You

The ideal candidate will have experience in management accounting and be keen to progress their career within a client-focused environment.

You will likely have:

• 1-3 years’ experience in management accounting or a similar role

• Studying towards or qualified in ACCA, CIMA or CPA

• Good Excel skills

• A strong understanding of management accounts

• Excellent communication and organisational skills

• Experience working with clients or stakeholders is desirable

• Knowledge of Xero is desirable but not essential

• A proactive attitude with a genuine desire to learn and progress
