Accountant in Cardiff

Role: Qualified Accountant
Location: Cardiff
Salary: £35,000–£45,000 DOE

Are you a qualified accountant looking for a role where you can build on your experience, develop your tax knowledge and enjoy a good level of flexibility?

This is a great opportunity to join an established accountancy practice with a varied client base and a friendly, supportive team. You’ll have the chance to take ownership of your work, build strong client relationships and continue developing your technical skills, with flexibility around your working hours and the option to work from home.

You will be:

• Preparing and reviewing year-end accounts for a varied portfolio of clients
• Handling personal tax returns, partnership tax, corporation tax and Capital Gains Tax
• Managing VAT returns and Making Tax Digital submissions
• Using accounting software such as Xero, Sage and QuickBooks to prepare accurate financial information
• Supporting clients with bookkeeping queries, year-end requirements and VAT matters
• Providing practical advice on tax compliance and general accounting queries
• Building relationships with clients and helping them meet their ongoing accounting and tax needs

About you:

• You’re ACA or ACCA qualified, with experience working in an accountancy practice
• You have a good understanding of accounts preparation and tax compliance
• You’re confident dealing with personal tax, corporation tax and VAT
• You have experience using accounting software such as Xero, Sage or QuickBooks
• You enjoy working with clients and communicating complex information clearly
• You’re organised, proactive and take pride in delivering accurate, high-quality work
