We require a motivated individual to support our RF and Comms, Video, and Microphones departments, soon to move from Kentish Town to be set up in our new home in Perivale. These departments are responsible for high volumes of digital and analogue audio and visual equipment, from radio microphones and IEMs to wired and wireless communications systems, video/CCTV systems and wired microphones. Working for these departments offers the opportunity to develop an understanding of many varied technologies. Developing skills is an important part of this role and Autograph will support the successful applicant in doing this either with in house or external training where necessary.
Duties will include:
- Projects: carrying out preparation, testing, and deployment of equipment for hire, sometimes including rack building.
- Technical Oversight: ensuring the correct configuration and maintenance of equipment including but not limited to:
- Wireless microphone and IEM systems
- Wireless Communications systems
- Networked communications systems
- SDI Video systems
- Microphones
Key Skills & Experience:
- Professional experience within theatre or live events, preferably with RF and Comms systems.
- An understanding of computers.
- Proven people skills, with a focus on clear communication and team development.
- An ability to work in an often fast-paced environment and adapt to the needs of the day.
- Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to remain calm and resourceful under pressure.
- Strong organisational skills with an eye for detail and documentation.
- A proactive mindset with a passion for continuous improvement and technical innovation.
- Valid passport/Work VISA is essential.
Desirable Attributes:
- Relevant technical or engineering qualification in Audio, Electronics, or IT.
- Experience in live theatre or touring environments.
- In-depth understanding of digital networking and AV system integration.
- Familiarity with major RF & Comms platforms (e.g. Shure, Sennheiser, Clearcom & Reidel).
- Full UK driving licence.
