An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced and commercially minded Senior Manager to join a well-established and growing accountancy practice South of Cornwall. This role is suited to an ambitious professional looking to take on a key leadership position within a collaborative and forward-thinking firm.
The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in managing client relationships, overseeing a varied portfolio, supporting the development of junior staff, and contributing to the continued growth of the practice.
Key Responsibilities- Managing a diverse portfolio of clients including limited companies, sole traders, and partnerships
- Reviewing statutory accounts, management accounts, and tax returns
- Providing business advisory and strategic support to clients
- Leading and mentoring junior and senior members of the team
- Building and maintaining strong long-term client relationships
- Supporting business development activities and identifying growth opportunities
- Ensuring compliance with accounting and tax regulations
- Liaising with HMRC and other professional bodies where required
- Managing workflow, deadlines, and team performance effectively
- Assisting Partners with operational and strategic initiatives
- ACA / ACCA / CTA qualified (or equivalent)
- Significant experience within accountancy practice
- Strong technical knowledge across accounts and taxation
- Proven experience managing client portfolios
- Excellent leadership and people management skills
- Commercially aware with strong problem-solving ability
- Confident communicator with excellent interpersonal skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
- Experience reviewing work and developing junior staff
