Senior Bookkeeper – South Bristol
Position: Permanent, full time
Salary: up to £32k
Are you an experienced bookkeeper looking for their next challenge? Due to continued growth, our client is seeking a talented Senior Bookkeeper to join their team. This is an excellent opportunity to join a friendly, supportive practice where you can take ownership of a diverse portfolio and contribute to the success of the business.
The Position
- Managing bookkeeping duties for a portfolio of clients using cloud-based accounting software (primarily Xero and QuickBooks)
- Preparing VAT returns and submitting to HMRC
- Reconciling bank accounts and maintaining accurate ledgers
- Assisting with cashflow and budgeting reports for clients
- Liaising with clients to gather financial information and resolve queries
- Supporting the wider accounts team as needed
Person Specification
- Proven bookkeeping experience within an accountancy practice
- Strong working knowledge of Xero and/or QuickBooks
- Solid understanding of VAT rules and reporting
- Confident in Microsoft Excel and other Office applications
- Excellent attention to detail and strong organisational skills
