A well-established, full-service accountancy firm in the Bridgwater area is looking for a Senior Accountant to join their growing team. The firm supports a broad portfolio of clients, from sole traders to limited companies, across a variety of sectors. This is an excellent opportunity for a fully qualified accountant with strong practice experience who is looking to step into a client-facing, varied, and potentially progressive role.
Key Responsibilities
- Preparation of complex year-end accounts for sole traders, partnerships, and limited companies
- Completion of personal tax and corporation tax returns using Sage
- Maintenance of bookkeeping records and preparation of management accounts
- Reviewing quarterly VAT returns
- Advising and liaising directly with clients, including support with Making Tax Digital
- Mentoring and reviewing the work of junior team members
- Involvement in a variety of professional services as part of an all-round accountancy offering
- Potential to manage your own portfolio and progress toward an office management role
What We're Looking For
- ACCA or ICAEW qualified (essential)
- Minimum 2 years experience working in an accountancy practice
- Proficient with Sage and other accounting platforms
