We are a fast-growing and progressive accountancy practice, providing a high-quality, added-value service to clients across Devon and North Cornwall. Due to continued expansion, we are seeking an experienced Client Manager to join our team.
Role Overview:
The Client Manager will be responsible for managing their own block of clients, delivering year-end and advisory meetings, reviewing and finalising accounts, and handling tax work. The role will also involve mentoring junior team members and undertaking various ad-hoc duties as required. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone looking to progress, with potential to advance to a senior leadership role - including heading up one of our offices.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage a portfolio of clients across Devon and North Cornwall
- Conduct year-end meetings and provide proactive advisory support
- Oversee accounts preparation and review, ensuring accuracy and compliance
- Handle corporate and personal tax work
- Review and finalise accounts for a variety of clients
- Support and mentor junior staff, reviewing their work and providing guidance
- Attend client premises as required to provide on-site support
- Undertake ad-hoc duties to support the wider practice
Requirements:
- ACA/ACCA qualified or qualified by experience (QBE)
- Currently working in an accountancy practice
- Strong technical knowledge of accounts preparation and UK tax
- Proven ability to manage client relationships effectively
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Willingness and ability to travel to client sites
