The Role
As a Payroll Officer, you will assist the Manager in running a diverse client payroll portfolio. Your responsibilities will include:
- Processing weekly, fortnightly, four-weekly, and monthly payrolls for clients with 1 to 150 employees using Sage Payroll.
- Managing BACS payments via third-party payment mandates.
- Submitting all HMRC returns and uploading pension data to relevant pension providers.
- Completing year-end submissions.
- Addressing client payroll queries promptly and professionally.
- Providing holiday cover for the Payroll Manager.
What We’re Looking For
At least 3+ years of experience in Accountancy Practice Payroll. Strong knowledge of payroll processes, compliance, and software (Sage Payroll experience preferred). Attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple payrolls efficiently. A proactive and customer-focused approach to handling queries and providing solutions.
