You will be joining an award-winning accountancy practice with offices across the South West, working as part of a friendly and supportive team based in central Bristol. This is an excellent opportunity if you are looking for a flexible, part-time role where you can use your existing tax compliance experience while becoming the dedicated tax specialist within the Bristol office.
With a strong presence across the region, the firm is looking to strengthen its Bristol team by bringing in an experienced tax professional who can provide expertise, support colleagues and deliver an exceptional service to clients. You'll have the opportunity to establish yourself as the go-to person for tax matters locally, whilst working closely with colleagues across the wider business.
You will:
- Prepare and review personal tax returns.
- Prepare Capital Gains Tax returns, including 60-day reporting requirements.
- Manage self-assessment registrations and deal with HMRC correspondence.
- Prepare trust tax returns and annual declarations.
- Assist with partnership tax returns where required.
- Liaise with HMRC and maintain accurate client records.
- Ensure work is completed in line with internal procedures and statutory deadlines.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, providing an excellent level of service.
You will ideally have:
- Previous experience working within a tax compliance role in an accountancy practice.
- A good understanding of personal tax and self-assessment processes.
- The ability to manage your workload effectively and meet deadlines.
- Confidence communicating with clients, HMRC and colleagues.
- Experience using tax software and Microsoft Office packages.
- ATT qualified, CTA qualified or qualified by experience.
