Corporate Accountant (Qualified/Part-Qualified)\\n\\nLocation: Exeter \\n\\nSalary: £25,000 – £35,000 (DOE) + Annual Bonus\\n\\nJob Type: Full-time, Permanent\\n\\nAbout the Role:\\n\\nWe are seeking a Corporate Accountant to join a well-established accountancy practice and play a key role in their corporate team. This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified or part-qualified accountant looking to develop their career in a dynamic and varied environment. The role includes accounts preparation, tax, bookkeeping, VAT, and audit work, offering exposure to a broad client portfolio.\\n\\nKey Responsibilities:\\n\\nPlan, prepare, and review accounts, bookkeeping, and VAT returns for a range of clients.\\n\\t\\nPrepare personal and corporate tax returns, ensuring compliance with HMRC regulations.\\n\\t\\nAdvise clients on accounting software (Xero, Sage, QuickBooks) and assist with system setup and troubleshooting.\\n\\t\\nStay up to date with industry developments and software updates to enhance efficiency.\\n\\t\\nProvide ad hoc support to the line manager, including administrative tasks and team billing.\\n\\t\\nSet budgets for staff and provide guidance on accounts completion.\\n\\t\\nTrain and mentor trainees, supporting their professional development.\\n\\t\\nMaintain strong client relationships, handling queries in a proactive and client-focused manner.\\n\\t\\nUndertake audit work, requiring some time out of the office at client sites.\\n\\nWhat they Offer:\\n\\nCompetitive salary (£25,000 – £35,000 DOE) + annual bonus.\\n\\t\\nStudy support for ACA/ACCA qualifications.\\n\\t\\nOngoing training and professional development in technical and soft skills.\\n\\t\\nHoliday entitlement: Minimum 20 days + bank holidays, increasing to 25 with service.\\n\\t\\nAdditional day off for your birthday.\\n\\t\\nFlexible working options.\\n\\t\\nCompany pension scheme.\\n\\nWhat they are Looking For:\\n\\nEssential:\\n\\nAAT/ACA/ACCA qualified or part-qualified.\\n\\t\\nMinimum 3 years’ experience in accounts preparation.\\n\\t\\nStrong understanding of bookkeeping, VAT, and tax return preparation.\\n\\t\\nProficiency in Xero, Sage, and QuickBooks.\\n\\t\\nSolid Excel skills (intermediate level).\\n\\t\\nExcellent client communication and supervisory abilities.\\n\\nDesirable:\\n\\nExperience working with charity accounts.\\n\\t\\nFamiliarity with filing company confirmation statements.\\n\\t\\nExperience using CCH software.\\n\\nWhy Join them?\\n\\nThis is an exciting opportunity to grow within a progressive and supportive accountancy accountancy practice.
