The Opportunity
We are pleased to be working with a growing and supportive accountancy practice based in Cardiff, currently looking to add an Accounts Assistant to their team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who has begun their AAT studies and is looking to build a long-term career in accountancy within a collaborative and forward-thinking environment. The firm works with a wide range of SME clients, offering tailored and proactive financial support. You will work closely with senior team members, gaining hands-on experience across a variety of accounting services while continuing your professional development.
Key Responsibilities
- Supporting the preparation of accounts for a range of clients
- Assisting with bookkeeping and VAT returns
- Liaising with clients and responding to queries
- General administrative support to the wider accounts team
The Ideal Candidate
- Currently studying AAT (Level 2, 3 or early stages of Level 4)
- Some practical experience in an accountancy practice
- Strong numerical and organisational skills
- Confident communicator with a professional approach
- Motivated, eager to learn, and keen to progress within accountancy
- Experience with accounting software such as Xero is advantageous
