I am delighted to be working with a progressive and forward-thinking independent accountancy practice who are looking to recruit an Assistant Accountant to join their friendly and collaborative team. The Role

  • Preparation of statutory accounts
  • Bookkeeping and work from incomplete records
  • Supporting with tax and compliance matters
  • Liaising directly with clients in a professional and approachable manner
  • Identifying process improvements and contributing ideas
  • Taking ownership of your workload and delivering high-quality work

The Ideal Candidate

  • Ideally 2+ years' experience within an accountancy practice
  • AAT / ACA / ACCA studying, qualified, or QBE
  • Confident working with accounting software and HMRC processes
  • Strong communication skills and client-facing confidence
  • Proactive, organised and comfortable taking initiative
  • Able to work primarily office-based, with flexibility available
