Our client is seeking an experienced and motivated Agricultural Accountant to join their growing team. This is an excellent opportunity for an accountant with experience working with agricultural and rural businesses to build long-term relationships with a diverse portfolio of farming and landed estate clients.
You will provide expert financial advice, compliance services and strategic guidance to help clients achieve their business objectives.
Key Responsibilities- Managing a portfolio of agricultural and rural business clients.
- Preparing statutory accounts and financial statements.
- Producing management accounts and cash flow forecasts.
- Preparing personal and corporate tax returns.
- Advising clients on tax planning, business structures and succession planning.
- Supporting farmers and rural businesses with budgeting and financial decision-making.
- Building and maintaining strong client relationships through regular communication.
- Ensuring work is completed accurately and in line with current accounting standards and legislation.
- Assisting junior team members where appropriate.
- The successful candidate will ideally have: ACA, ACCA or CTA qualification (or be qualified by experience).
- Previous experience within an accountancy practice.
- Experience working with agricultural, farming or rural business clients is highly desirable.
- Strong knowledge of UK accounting and tax legislation.
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
- A proactive approach with strong organisational skills.
- The ability to manage multiple deadlines effectively.
- A full UK driving licence is advantageous due to occasional client visits.
