Join a Collaborative, centralised finance function supporting diverse clients
A well-structured finance team, working with a portfolio of fast-growing SMEs including tech startups, fashion brands and charities, is looking to add a Finance Assistant to their hybrid team. This role supports a team of Financial Controllers and Business Partners, offering a clear progression path and exposure to a variety of industries.
This is a great opportunity for someone with hands-on experience in transactional and month-end finance processes, ideally with knowledge of Xero, looking to develop within a forward-thinking and supportive environment.
Key Responsibilities
Assist with monthly payment runs
Support with VAT returns and compliance
Handle month-end processes including journals, reconciliations and reporting
Manage prepayments and accruals
Use Xero for day-to-day accounting
Collaborate with internal finance teams and support multiple client accounts
Candidate Profile
AAT qualified, working towards, or QBE with strong finance experience
Confident using Xero or similar cloud-based software
Good understanding of core accounting principles including VAT, prepayments and month-end
Comfortable working in a centralised team environment
Strong attention to detail and a proactive, problem-solving mindset
