About the Opportunity:
We are seeking a highly organised and detail-oriented individual to join a growing accountancy practice team as an Accounts Assistant.
Responsibilities:
- Dealing with client queries via email and telephone
- Bookkeeping and the preparation of VAT returns
- Liaising with HMRC
- Perform other duties as assigned
- Preparation of financial statements for a wide variety of clients, including sole traders, partnerships (including farms), limited companies and charities ready for manager/partner review.
Requirements:
- Part AAT qualified or alternatively qualified by experience with a minimum of 2+ years of working in an accountancy practice.
- Good knowledge of various accounting software such as Sage, Freeagent and Quickbooks is essential.
