Accounts Senior – Accountancy Practice ?? Taunton (Office-based, with some WFH flexibility) ?? Salary up to £40,000 I’m working with a well-established and growing accountancy practice in Taunton who are looking to add an experienced Accounts Senior to their friendly and supportive team. This is a great opportunity for an AAT qualified / part-qualified ACCA accountant (QBE also considered) who enjoys managing a varied client portfolio and working closely with senior staff and partners. The Role You’ll be responsible for delivering high-quality accounting and compliance services to a mixed client base, ensuring deadlines are met and clients receive an excellent level of service. Key responsibilities include: Preparing year-end accounts for sole traders, partnerships, and limited companies Producing VAT returns and management accounts Assisting with personal and corporation tax compliance Liaising directly with clients to gather information and resolve queries Supporting senior accountants and partners with ad-hoc work About You AAT qualified with at least 3 years’ experience in an accountancy practice Strong understanding of UK accounting standards and tax compliance Confident using software such as Xero, Sage, and QuickBooks Highly organised with excellent attention to detail A confident communicator with a proactive, professional approach What’s On Offer Competitive salary up to £40k Study support for further qualifications (e.g. ACCA) Friendly, collaborative team environment Benefits including company pension, cycle to work scheme, on-site parking, company events , and some work-from-home flexibility This is a fantastic opportunity to join a forward-thinking practice that genuinely invests in its people and offers long-term progression.
