A highly regarded and long-established accountancy practice in the South West is expanding and looking to appoint a Semi-Senior Accountant or a Senior Accountant within their team. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a dynamic and supportive firm offering real scope for progression.
Key Responsibilities (depending on role focus):
- Preparation and review of year-end accounts for sole traders, partnerships, and limited companies
- Preparation of personal, corporate, and trust tax returns
- Managing client relationships and responding to day-to-day queries
- Supporting and reviewing bookkeeping, VAT returns, and management accounts
- Supervising junior team members and reviewing their work
- Liaising with HMRC on behalf of clients
- Delivering ad-hoc advisory and value-added services
Key Requirements:
- ACA / ACCA qualified or QBE with strong practice experience
- 2–4+ years’ experience within an accountancy practice
- Strong tax knowledge across personal and corporate tax
- Proficient in electronic accounting systems such as Sage, Xero, and QuickBooks
- Excellent communication and client-handling skills
- Organised, proactive, and able to manage deadlines effectively
