A well-established and growing accountancy practice in Helston is looking to recruit a Semi-Senior Accountant to join its friendly and supportive team.

The Role
Working closely with the wider accounts team, your responsibilities will include:
- Preparing accounts for limited companies, sole traders and partnerships
- Producing and submitting statutory accounts
- Preparing self-assessment tax returns
- Reviewing and submitting VAT returns
- Liaising with clients to resolve accounting and tax queries
- Communicating with HMRC and other relevant parties
- Supporting colleagues across the wider practice
- Building and maintaining strong client relationships
About You
The ideal candidate will have:
- Previous experience within an accountancy practice
- Experience preparing accounts for a range of clients
- An understanding of VAT and statutory accounts
- Self-assessment tax experience would be advantageous
- Strong communication and organisational skills
- A proactive and client-focused approach
- A genuine ambition to progress their career within practice
- Ideally be working towards, or looking to commence, professional accountancy qualifications
