About the Role
A well-established, full-service accountancy firm in the Bridgwater area is looking for a Senior Accountant to join their growing team. The firm supports a broad portfolio of clients, from sole traders to limited companies, across a variety of sectors.
This is an excellent opportunity for a fully qualified accountant with strong practice experience who is looking to step into a client-facing, varied, and potentially progressive role.
Key Responsibilities

Preparation of complex year-end accounts for sole traders, partnerships, and limited companies

Completion of personal tax and corporation tax returns using Sage

Maintenance of bookkeeping records and preparation of management accounts

Reviewing quarterly VAT returns

Advising and liaising directly with clients, including support with Making Tax Digital

Mentoring and reviewing the work of junior team members

Involvement in a variety of professional services as part of an all-round accountancy offering

Potential to manage your own portfolio and progress toward an office management role
What We're Looking For

ACCA or ICAEW qualified (essential)

Minimum 2 years’ experience working in an accountancy practice

Proficient with Sage and other accounting platforms

Strong interpersonal and communication skills for client interaction

Ability to work independently and support junior staff
