Autograph Recruitment is supporting a specialist business with the recruitment of a Business Development Manager. This person will support the launch of their new product, growing an international customer base.

This opportunity will suit someone who thrives in chasing new business, identifying new opportunities and developing long-term working relationships. You’ll work closely with internal teams to understand customer requirements and develop a clear approach to new markets.

Key Responsibilities of Business Development Manager:

• Identifying and securing new international business in defence markets.
• Developing sales strategies to enter new markets and grow existing opportunities.
• Leading commercial discussions, negotiating agreements and closing high-value sales.
• Representing the business at international exhibitions, trials and industry events.
• Working closely with engineering and product development teams to help turn customer requirements into practical solutions.
• Maintaining an accurate sales pipeline and providing clear forecasts.

The Ideal Candidate:

• A proven track record in developing and retaining new business across the globe.
• The confidence to approach new customers and build relationships with key decision-makers.
• Commercial awareness and negotiation skills.
• A proactive approach and the ability to manage own workload.
• Confidence using Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, and working with structured sales processes.

International travel will be a regular part of the role.
