Position Summary

As Sales Executive – Proactive Business Travel & Groups, you will drive new and existing business across the Business Travel and Corporate Groups segments. You will support the full BT RFP process in collaboration with the Sales Manager and DOSM, and manage Corporate Group enquiries from initial quotation through to contract signature. You will ensure client requirements are captured accurately, communicated clearly to relevant departments, and handed over seamlessly to the Planning team for event execution, while maintaining hotel standards and complying with company policies and legislation.

Responsibilities

  • Generate new BT and Corporate Group business.
  • Build relationships with new, existing and lapsed accounts.
  • Support BT RFPs through to account activation.
  • Manage Corporate Group enquiries to contract stage.
  • Capture client needs and hand over clearly to Planning.
  • Work with hotel teams to deliver strong client service.
  • Use strong sales, negotiation and presentation skills.
  • Understand group, catering, transient and BT segments.
  • Apply market data to support sales strategy.
  • Support site inspections and conversion opportunities.
  • Attend weekly sales meetings and share updates.
  • Monitor competitors and maintain Cvent, Edge and Venue Directory.
  • Support blitz days, trade shows and related sales activity.
  • Maintain strong stakeholder relationships.

Previous hospitality experience is required. BT and/or Corporate Groups sales experience in the 5‑star or luxury lifestyle market is highly desired. Strong knowledge of Marriott systems, including Opera, SFA and Marriott Global Source. Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel and PowerPoint. Understanding of property business segments including group, catering, transient and BT. Knowledge of contractual agreements and legal implications. Understanding of revenue management functions and financial reporting. Ability to interpret market data and identify local market opportunities. Strong customer relationship management, negotiation and problem‑solving skills. Strong English communication, presentation and platform skills. Strong organisational skills with the ability to meet deadlines. Knowledge of overall hotel operations and ability to influence decision makers.
