Experienced installer required for a well-established company installing high-quality automated gates, many designed and manufactured in-house. Company van provided.

AutoGate Services is a well-established, family-run company with more than 20 years experience installing automated gates across residential, commercial and industrial sites. Many of our gates are designed and manufactured in-house, allowing us to deliver high-quality installations that our engineers can take real pride in.

We are looking for an experienced Gate Automation Installer / Engineer to join our friendly and professional team installing automated gates, barriers, intercom systems and access control. This role would suit someone already installing automated gates, or working with automation and access control systems, who is looking for a well-organised company and supportive team environment. It may also suit someone currently working as a self-employed installer who would prefer the stability of a permanent role with good support and equipment provided.

How our installations work

  • Setting out installations
  • Hanging gates
  • Installing automation equipment and entry access solutions
  • Wiring and commissioning systems

You should understand the groundwork side of installations and be willing to help occasionally, but you will not be expected to carry out heavy groundwork all week.

What the job involves

  • Installing automated gates and barriers
  • Installing intercom and access control systems
  • Hanging gates and setting out installations
  • Installing safety upgrades and replacement components
  • Commissioning and testing automation systems
  • Communicating professionally with customers on site

  • Full UK driving licence

Desirable

  • DHF qualification
  • Experience with BFT, DEA, VIDEX or similar automation systems
  • Electrical fault-finding experience
  • Experience across multiple aspects of automated gate installation

If you have strong relevant experience but not every system listed above, we would still like to hear from you.

Pay and working hours

Salary: £36,000 - £42,000 depending on experience. Monday to Friday, 40 hour week. Typical site hours: 7:30am - 4:30pm. Overtime may occasionally be required to complete an installation within the scheduled time, but this is weekday overtime only.

What we offer

  • Company van
