Role Description: We are seeking a full-time Senior Robotics Software Engineer to join our team in Oxfordshire in on-site capacity, combining office-based collaboration with flexible work hours and fully compensated travel. In this role, you will design and develop software for cutting-edge robotics systems, lead the implementation of object-oriented programming solutions, and contribute to the integration of intelligent robotic applications. Day-to-day responsibilities include:
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams
- Ensuring software reliability and performance
- Solving complex programming challenges
- Mentoring junior team members
- Contributing to strategic technical decision-making
Qualifications:
- Minimum 2 years experience in related role
- Preferably over 6 years experience in related role
- Preferably some team leadership experience but we are looking for people happy in software development role
- Experience with AI tools
- Proficiency in Programming, Software Development, and Object-Oriented Programming (OOP)
- Expertise in Computer Science principles and problem-solving
- Experience in Back-End Web Development and system integration
- Strong analytical and debugging skills
- Excellent teamwork and communication abilities
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Robotics, or a related field
- Experience working with robotics systems, preferably in field robotics
