- Position Overview
The Sales Strategy & Planning Manager is responsible for driving strategic planning, performance analytics, and business insights that enable profitable growth across the sales organization.
This role partners closely with the VP WWS SSE, CRO Chief of Staff, COO Chief of Staff Strategy Team, Sales Finance, FP&A, Industry Strategy teams, and Sales Leadership to align growth priorities, develop annual and long-range plans, and provide actionable insights that support executive decision-making.
Responsibilities
- Partner with cross functional teams to align annual sales planning objectives and growth priorities
- Consolidate sales and industry strategic plans into a unified view of growth opportunities and investment priorities
- Program Manage annual sales planning with structure and data-driven recommendations
- Develop and manage sales productivity metrics, performance reporting, and productivity-per-head analyses
- Analyze quota attainment, overlay effectiveness, and sales coverage ratios across roles, geographies, and business segments
- Conduct ad hoc business analysis and scenario modeling to evaluate revenue impacts of strategic decisions
- Build financial and operational models supporting resource allocation and workforce planning
- Analyze pipeline health, conversion performance, and sales funnel effectiveness using CRM and reporting tools
- Create executive presentations and strategic communications that clearly articulate findings, risks, and recommendations
- Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, Analytics, or related field; MBA preferred
- 8+ years of experience in sales strategy, business planning, finance, sales operations, consulting, or related analytical roles
- Experience supporting annual planning, forecasting, revenue modeling, and business performance reviews
- Experience working in a complex technology, software, or Saa S environment preferred
- Strong strategic thinking and analytical problem-solving capabilities
- Expertise translating complex data into actionable business insights
- Excellent financial modeling, forecasting, and business analysis skills
- Strong executive communication and presentation skills
- Ability to influence stakeholders and drive cross-functional alignment
- Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional initiatives and drive outcomes
- Experience influencing senior leaders through data-driven recommendations
- Strong organizational and project management skills
- Advanced proficiency in Excel, Power Point, and business intelligence tools
- Experience with Salesforce (SFDC) and enterprise reporting solutions
- Familiarity with Tableau, Power BI, or equivalent analytics platforms
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
- Strong business judgment and decision-making capabilities

Salary is one part of Autodesk’s competitive compensation package.
For U.
S.-based roles, we expect a starting base salary between $138,400 and $248,050.
Offers are based on the candidate’s experience and geographic location, and may exceed this range.
In addition to base salaries, our compensation package may include annual cash bonuses, commissions for sales roles, stock grants, and a comprehensive benefits package.
Salary is one part of Autodesk’s competitive compensation package.
For Canada based roles, we expect a starting base salary between $120,000 and $176,000.
Offers are based on the candidate’s experience and geographic location, and may exceed this range.
In addition to base salaries, our compensation package may include annual cash bonuses, commissions for sales roles, stock grants, and a comprehensive benefits package.
