We're passionate about making design tools to ensure design exploration (getting to alternative design solutions), design automation (getting to the finished design faster), and sustainable design (with less negative impact). Autodesk's AI Lab is active in the wider research community, targeting publications at NeurIPS, ICML, ICLR, and other top-tier conferences. We collaborate with top academic and industry labs, combining the best of an academic environment with product-driven research. This role may work remote or in-person at one of the offices in San Francisco, Toronto, or London during the entirety of the internship.
Responsibilities
- Managing your project end-to-end, working on machine learning research applied to design
- Partner with different teams to solve important problems across the Autodesk organization
Minimum Qualifications
- Must be currently enrolled in a full-time, MS or Ph.D degree seeking program with a focus in Computer Science, Computational Design, Graphics, Machine Learning or related field
- Knowledge of machine learning and deep learning
- Strong CS Fundamentals (Python)
- Exposure to ML & DL platforms and libraries (PyTorch, TensorFlow, Pytorch Lightening)
- Experience conducting research and publishing results
Preferred Qualifications
- Expertise in an area such as computer vision, 2D/3D geometry representation learning, reinforcement learning, graph neural networks, unsupervised/self-supervised learning, meta-learning, or generative models.
- Knowledge of 3D computer graphics, computational geometry, and 3D geometry manipulation
- Experience with CAD
