As part of our fast expanding Electric Vehicle (EV) business, the EV Mechanic will be hands on in the safe removal and refitting of high-voltage (HV) traction batteries from electric vehicles before and after battery repair or remanufacture.
Key roles and responsibilities:
- Safely remove and refit HV batteries from electric and hybrid vehicles prior to and after remanufacturing or repair.
- Support vehicle preparation, including pre- and post-removal checks, following strict safety and quality procedures.
- Adhere to all high-voltage safety protocols, isolation procedures, and company risk assessments.
- Use appropriate lifting, diagnostic, and mechanical equipment safely and accurately.
Requirements:
- Good mechanical or workshop experience with the capability to be trained in IMI Level 2 or 3 Award in Electric/Hybrid Vehicle System Maintenance.
- Good positive can do attitude.
- Valid UK driving licence required.
- Flexibility to work both day and late shifts as required.
