Autocraft Accident Repair Centre in Aberystwyth is currently recruiting Mechanical and Electrical Trim Technicians (M.E.T) and Panel Repair/Paint Technicians. We are looking for enthusiastic, reliable, hard-working individuals with experience in mechanical and electrical trim fitting. We are an extremely busy national award-winning BS10125 accredited site looking for candidates to provide high-quality repairs to accident-damaged vehicles. Individuals must be able to work within a team environment to strict time constraints.

ATA or City & Guilds L3 preferred but not essential.

Candidate for Mechanical MET Strip and Refit will require to:

  • Carry out mechanical strip and refit of suspension components and cooling/air conditioning systems.
  • Remove and refit body trim panels.
  • Carry out wheel alignment checks and adjustments into vehicle spec.
  • Use simple diagnostic equipment.
  • Identify and report all apparent other faults or other work that is found to be required, or considered to be advisable in the interests of safety and/or reliability.
  • Identify and utilise the correct methods of work by using your experience, skills, training and industry knowledge, referring to the available technical information where appropriate.
  • Complete all job-related and other company documentation and administrative duties accurately and promptly.
  • Work co-operatively with colleagues, suppliers and other parties as instructed.
  • Keep your industry skills up-to-date on an ongoing basis.
  • Comply at all times with company policies and instructions on all relevant subjects, including general health and safety; personal protective equipment; security.
  • Perform in a suitable manner any other tasks and duties that may from time to time be reasonably requested of you by the company’s management.
  • Ensure all work areas are clean and tidy at all times.

Competitive rates of pay depending on experience. Full-time positions available, Monday to Friday.
