New Product Development Coordinator – Automotive / Mobility Solutions Location: Alfreton, Derbyshire Salary: Competitive, DOE Contract: Full Time, 37.5 hours per week Join the UK’s leading manufacturer of vehicle adaptations and play a key role in our product development journey! Autochair is a market leader in mobility solutions, dedicated to enhancing independence through innovative vehicle adaptations. Following significant investment and expansion at our Derbyshire manufacturing facility, we are looking for a highly organised and proactive New Kit Design Coordinator to support the launch of new products across the UK and USA. This is a fantastic opportunity for a detail-driven individual with strong project coordination experience to contribute to the success of our New Kit Design (NKD) process and help drive new product releases from concept to production. The Role As the New Product Development Coordinator, you will be responsible for managing the end-to-end NKD process – from initial enquiry to product launch – ensuring timely releases that meet market demands. Your key responsibilities will include: • Coordinating the NKD process for UK and USA markets, from enquiry through to product release • Working with Sales Operations, Technical, and Production teams to identify priority vehicles and kits based on sales data and future projections • Collaborating with our US-based partner Mobility Innovations to support design requirements overseas • Liaising with UK agents and dealerships to arrange vehicle sourcing and transportation • Managing the ordering of replacement car parts for new kit development • Ensuring all NKD projects follow the stage gate process with proper documentation and approvals • Supporting production planning to ensure necessary stock is available for launch • Driving the pace of NKD to meet commercial deadlines • Maintaining and sharing updated kit lists for regular marketing communications About You We’re looking for someone who thrives on structure and progress – a confident and calm communicator who enjoys working with multiple stakeholders across a manufacturing environment.
