ABOUT THE ROLE

We are looking for a Head of Technical Delivery to help a team navigate complex delivery schedules across multiple products and customers. Reporting directly into our CTPO, you will be passionate about continually improving our ability to deliver high quality, reliable and market leading software. You will have a wealth of experience project and delivery leadership that demands simplicity and predictability. You will take on making sure everyone is informed so decisions can be made quickly and with the best knowledge to hand. You'll be working very closely with our Engineering and Product Managers, and our customer PMO teams to ensure delivery schedules and changes are managed.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

What does the opportunity look like day-to-day?

  • Part of the Delivery Leadership: Guide the Product & Engineering teams in making appropriate scheduling decisions and trade-offs. You will be involved in discussions to meet the external expectations, whilst ensuring timescales are realistic and achievable.
  • You will help to coordinate all our software builds from inception through to live customer usage / support.
  • Working closely with our client delivery teams to ensure seamless handovers and updates.
  • Coaching and mentoring the teams on best practices around continual improvement, backlog management, working practices, exploration techniques etc.
  • Managing stakeholders at all levels and clearly communicating where we are and where we need to be.
  • Driving pragmatic decision making but being firm with what is and isn’t possible.
  • Managing risks and mitigation of those risks.

Stakeholder management:

Autocab delivers products and bespoke solutions to taxi companies around the world. Whilst the individual customer onboarding journeys are handled by a small team of consultants and project managers, this role is to ensure those projects approved deliveries are met, changes are managed and timescales monitored.

What you will bring to the team:

  • Deliver end to end technical projects within a complex multi customer environments.
  • Practical experience of Agile delivery.
  • Managing project scopes, timelines, risks, dependencies and reporting in line with delivery frameworks.
  • You have practical experience of Agile techniques and understand what truly works across different delivery environments.
  • You’re comfortable working with a mixed estate, where not all products are at the same point in their lifecycle.
  • You’re an effective coach and mentor, able to guide and support delivery managers and teams in varied scenarios to raise performance standards across the organisation.
  • You thrive in a CI/CD environment and embrace a ‘build it, you run it’ culture, promoting ownership, accountability, and quality.
  • You bring strong software delivery experience, with a proven track record of delivering high-quality, reliable, and market-leading software.
  • You’re known for transparent leadership, creating simplicity, predictability, and open communication to enable fast, well-informed decisions.
  • You are passionate about continual improvement and best practices, including backlog management, working practices, and exploration techniques.
  • You’re skilled in stakeholder management at all levels — providing clear, honest communication about where things stand, not just where you want them to be.
  • You make pragmatic decisions, balancing ambition and realism while managing risk and mitigation effectively.
  • You have a collaborative and coaching mindset, fostering teamwork, empowerment and professional growth across the delivery and business analysis functions.
  • Excellent organisational, analytical and problem-solving skills.

CORE WORKING HOURS: 9am - 5pm, Monday – Friday Hybrid working model – our collab days are Wednesdays, Thursdays and alternate Tuesdays.
