ABOUT THE ROLE

We are looking for a motivated and detail‑driven Assistant Accountant to join our finance team and support our international finance operations. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys working with numbers, thrives in a structured environment, and wants to develop their accounting career. You will support the Finance Team with day‑to‑day accounting tasks, month‑end processes, and financial reporting. If you are proactive, organised, and eager to learn, we would love to hear from you.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

  • Process multi‑currency AP invoices, maintain supplier records, manage payment runs
  • Raise customer invoices, allocate global receipts, and reconcile AR balances
  • Perform daily multi‑currency bank reconciliations and support cashflow monitoring
  • Process international payments, transfers, and FX‑related transactions
  • Prepare journals including accruals, prepayments, and currency revaluations
  • Reconcile key balance sheet accounts (AP, AR, cash, intercompany)
  • Assist with month‑end close and management reporting
  • Support VAT/GST and other international tax submissions
  • Liaise with overseas teams, suppliers, and customers to resolve queries
  • Maintain financial controls and support internal/external audits
  • Contribute to process improvements and system enhancements

QUALIFICATIONS

We would love to hear from you if you meet the qualifications below:

  • Studying AAT or early‑stage ACCA/CIMA (or keen to start)
  • Experience in AP/AR or general accounting
  • Strong numerical and analytical skills
  • Strong working knowledge of Excel and accounting software
  • Experience using Oracle is a plus but not essential
  • Excellent attention to detail and time management
  • Positive attitude and willingness to learn
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
