Auto Windscreens is looking for the next generation of technicians to learn how to repair and replace vehicle glass, work with advanced vehicle sensors, and train to become a fully qualified Level3 Automotive Glazing Technician.
You’ll learn from experienced technicians, gain real workplace skills, and join a forward‑thinking employer.
- Training & Development
- Supported day‑to‑day by an experienced mentor at your base location.
- Monthly visits from a training assessor.
- Initial induction and training at head office, including uniform issue.
- Dedicated technical training days at head office during the programme.
- 20% of your working hours spent in training or study.
- Delivered by E. J. Markham & Son Ltd.
- By the end of the programme, you will be fully trained as a Level3 Glazing Technician.
Responsibilities
- Repair chips in vehicle glass.
- Replace windscreens and body glass on a range of vehicles.
- Recalibrate sensors for features such as automatic wipers, automatic braking and lane detection systems.
- Use the latest tools and techniques across the industry.
- Perform manual handling and lifting of vehicle glass.
Requirements
- GCSE English Language or Literature – Grade4 or above.
- GCSE Maths – Grade4 or above.
- Good communication skills.
- Attention to detail.
- Organisation and problem‑solving skills.
- Customer care and teamwork.
- Patience and a positive attitude.
- Physical fitness.
- Pass UK driving test by the end of the apprenticeship (if not already passed).
- Salary & Working Hours
Annual wage: £14,560 (with salary increase after 12 months). Hours: Monday to Friday,9:00am–5:00pm (35hours per week).
Start date & Duration
Start date: Monday 7th September2026. Duration: 18 months. Qualification upon completion: Level3 Automotive Glazing Technician (A‑Level equivalent).
