What's On Offer
- Annual wage: £14,560 (with salary increase after 12 months)
- Hours: Monday - Friday, 9:00am - 5:00pm (35 hours per week)

What You’ll Be Doing
Working from a local Auto Windscreens fitting centre, you’ll gain practical, hands-on experience on customers’ vehicles, including:
- Repairing chips in vehicle glass
- Replacing windscreens and body glass on a range of vehicles
- Learning how to recalibrate sensors for features such as:
- Automatic wipers
- Automatic braking
- Lane detection systems
As vehicles become more technology-focused, you’ll be trained in the latest tools and techniques used across the industry. The role involves manual handling and lifting of vehicle glass. You will need to pass your UK driving test by the end of the apprenticeship (if not already passed). Once qualified, the role becomes field-based and involves outdoor working.
Your training
Your apprenticeship includes structured training and support throughout:
- Supported day-to-day by an experienced mentor at your base location
- Monthly visits from a training assessor
- Initial induction and training at head office (including uniform issue)
- Dedicated technical training days at head office during the programme
- 20% of your working hours spent in training or study
- Delivered by E.J. Markham & Son Ltd
By the end of the programme, you will be fully trained as a Level 3 Glazing Technician.
