Overview
We’re looking for a General Maintenance Operative to join our busy facilities team. This is a varied role where no two days are the same — one day you could be repairing or decorating, the next supporting a new site set-up or carrying out seasonal garden maintenance. Based from our head office in Chesterfield, you’ll travel to sites across the U.K. to keep our properties well maintained, safe, and looking their best. Some overnight stays will be required. This role is ideal for someone who takes pride in their work, enjoys variety, and can deliver high-quality results while on the move.
What you’ll be doing
- Carrying out a wide range of repairs, maintenance, and decorating tasks
- Supporting new service centre openings with set-up and preparation
- Looking after tools and equipment to ensure they’re in top condition
- Completing basic garden maintenance throughout the year
- Undertaking health & safety compliance checks
- Working directly with staff and customers, delivering excellent service at all times
What we’re looking for
- A full U.K. driving licence
- Experience in general maintenance, repairs, and decorating
- Skills in carpentry, plumbing or other trades are desirable
- Someone proactive, organised, and confident working independently
- A positive attitude with strong problem-solving skills
