The Role

As a Paint Sprayer / Prepper, you'll be responsible for preparing vehicles for paint and completing high-quality refinishing work to the required standards. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Preparing vehicles and panels ready for painting
  • Sanding, filling, masking and priming surfaces
  • Preparing damaged areas to achieve a smooth, high-quality finish
  • Mixing and colour-matching paint accurately
  • Applying primers, basecoats and clearcoats
  • Carrying out paint repairs and refinishing work
  • Inspecting completed work to ensure a high-quality finish
  • Identifying and correcting any paint defects
  • Maintaining a clean, safe and organised working environment
  • Following correct repair methods and health and safety procedures

About You

We're looking for an experienced Paint Sprayer / Prepper who can hit the ground running and deliver excellent workmanship. You will ideally have:

  • Previous experience as a Paint Sprayer, Vehicle Paint Sprayer, Paint Technician, Prepper or Vehicle Refinisher
  • Experience preparing vehicles for paint from start to finish
  • Strong knowledge of modern paint systems and refinishing techniques
  • Experience with water-based paints
  • Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to quality
  • The ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • A professional attitude and strong work ethic
  • Relevant qualifications such as City & Guilds, NVQ, ATA or equivalent are desirable
