THE ROLE

As an Experienced Paint Technician, you will be responsible for the preparation, painting and refinishing of accident-damaged vehicles, ensuring every repair is completed to a consistently high standard. Working as part of an experienced bodyshop team, you'll play an important role in delivering high-quality repairs while maintaining excellent attention to detail, productivity and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare vehicle panels for paint, including sanding, masking, priming and surface preparation
  • Carry out paint spraying and refinishing to a consistently high standard
  • Undertake colour matching, blending and polishing to achieve seamless finishes
  • Inspect completed repairs and rectify any imperfections where required
  • Work closely with Panel Technicians, MET Technicians and Workshop Controllers to ensure efficient vehicle throughput
  • Maintain paint equipment, tools and work areas to a clean and professional standard
  • Follow manufacturer repair methods, bodyshop quality standards and Health & Safety procedures
  • Complete repairs within agreed production times while maintaining exceptional workmanship

ABOUT YOU

We're looking for an experienced and quality-focused Paint Technician who takes pride in their workmanship and has a genuine eye for detail.

  • Proven experience as a Paint Technician, Paint Sprayer or Paint Refinisher within an automotive bodyshop
  • Strong knowledge of modern vehicle paint systems and refinishing techniques
  • Experienced in preparation, spraying, colour matching, blending and polishing
  • Ability to consistently produce high-quality, factory-standard finishes
  • Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality
  • Able to work efficiently within a busy accident repair environment
  • Strong team player with a professional and positive attitude
  • IMI and/or ATA qualifications advantageous
  • Full UK Driving Licence preferred
