THE ROLE
As an Experienced Paint Technician, you will be responsible for the preparation, painting and refinishing of accident-damaged vehicles, ensuring every repair is completed to a consistently high standard. Working as part of an experienced bodyshop team, you'll play an important role in delivering high-quality repairs while maintaining excellent attention to detail, productivity and customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare vehicle panels for paint, including sanding, masking, priming and surface preparation
- Carry out paint spraying and refinishing to a consistently high standard
- Undertake colour matching, blending and polishing to achieve seamless finishes
- Inspect completed repairs and rectify any imperfections where required
- Work closely with Panel Technicians, MET Technicians and Workshop Controllers to ensure efficient vehicle throughput
- Maintain paint equipment, tools and work areas to a clean and professional standard
- Follow manufacturer repair methods, bodyshop quality standards and Health & Safety procedures
- Complete repairs within agreed production times while maintaining exceptional workmanship
ABOUT YOU
We're looking for an experienced and quality-focused Paint Technician who takes pride in their workmanship and has a genuine eye for detail.
- Proven experience as a Paint Technician, Paint Sprayer or Paint Refinisher within an automotive bodyshop
- Strong knowledge of modern vehicle paint systems and refinishing techniques
- Experienced in preparation, spraying, colour matching, blending and polishing
- Ability to consistently produce high-quality, factory-standard finishes
- Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Able to work efficiently within a busy accident repair environment
- Strong team player with a professional and positive attitude
- IMI and/or ATA qualifications advantageous
- Full UK Driving Licence preferred
