THE ROLE
As an MET Technician / Mechanical, Electrical & Trim Technician, you'll be responsible for carrying out mechanical, electrical and trim repairs to accident-damaged vehicles, ensuring work is completed efficiently and to a consistently high standard.
Key responsibilities include:
- Carrying out mechanical, electrical and trim repairs to accident-damaged vehicles.
- Removing and refitting mechanical, electrical, interior and exterior components.
- Diagnosing and rectifying mechanical and electrical faults where required.
- Working safely and efficiently in accordance with manufacturer repair methods and industry standards.
- Working closely with Panel Beaters, Paint Technicians and other Bodyshop colleagues to maintain an efficient repair process.
- Ensuring all completed work meets the required quality and safety standards.
- Completing allocated repairs within agreed timescales while maintaining excellent workmanship.
- Maintaining tools, equipment, and the working area in a clean and professional condition.
ABOUT YOU
This opportunity would suit an experienced MET Technician who takes pride in producing high-quality work. You'll ideally have:
- Previous experience as an MET Technician within a professional Bodyshop or accident repair environment.
- Recognised apprenticeship or Level 3 qualification in Vehicle Mechanical, Electrical & Trim (NVQ / IMI / SVQ / ATA), with a commitment to continuous professional development.
- Strong knowledge of modern vehicle mechanical, electrical and trim systems.
- The ability to diagnose faults and carry out accurate mechanical and electrical repairs.
- Excellent attention to detail and pride in delivering high-quality workmanship.
- The ability to work efficiently while maintaining consistently high standards.
- Strong organisation and the ability to work effectively as part of a skilled workshop team.
- A full UK driving licence.
