THE ROLE

As an MET Technician / Mechanical, Electrical & Trim Technician, you'll be responsible for carrying out mechanical, electrical and trim repairs to accident-damaged vehicles, ensuring work is completed efficiently and to a consistently high standard.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Carrying out mechanical, electrical and trim repairs to accident-damaged vehicles.
  • Removing and refitting mechanical, electrical, interior and exterior components.
  • Diagnosing and rectifying mechanical and electrical faults where required.
  • Working safely and efficiently in accordance with manufacturer repair methods and industry standards.
  • Working closely with Panel Beaters, Paint Technicians and other Bodyshop colleagues to maintain an efficient repair process.
  • Ensuring all completed work meets the required quality and safety standards.
  • Completing allocated repairs within agreed timescales while maintaining excellent workmanship.
  • Maintaining tools, equipment, and the working area in a clean and professional condition.

ABOUT YOU

This opportunity would suit an experienced MET Technician who takes pride in producing high-quality work. You'll ideally have:

  • Previous experience as an MET Technician within a professional Bodyshop or accident repair environment.
  • Recognised apprenticeship or Level 3 qualification in Vehicle Mechanical, Electrical & Trim (NVQ / IMI / SVQ / ATA), with a commitment to continuous professional development.
  • Strong knowledge of modern vehicle mechanical, electrical and trim systems.
  • The ability to diagnose faults and carry out accurate mechanical and electrical repairs.
  • Excellent attention to detail and pride in delivering high-quality workmanship.
  • The ability to work efficiently while maintaining consistently high standards.
  • Strong organisation and the ability to work effectively as part of a skilled workshop team.
  • A full UK driving licence.
