An excellent opportunity has become available for a customer-focused Parts Advisor to join a busy and professional parts department. This role is ideal for someone with automotive or agricultural machinery knowledge who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment, delivering excellent customer service and supporting workshop operations.
Working Hours
- Monday to Friday
- 8:00am - 5:00pm
- During seasonal peak periods, additional hours and occasional weekend work may be required on a rota basis.
The Role
As a Parts Advisor, you will be responsible for supporting customers and technicians by ensuring the correct parts are identified, ordered and supplied efficiently. Key duties include:
- Assisting customers in person, over the phone and via email.
- Identifying and sourcing parts using electronic parts catalogues.
- Processing sales orders and invoices.
- Managing goods in and goods out.
- Organising returns and liaising with suppliers and couriers.
- Assisting with stock control and stock-taking activities.
- Pre-picking parts for workshop requirements.
- Maintaining a clean, safe and organised parts department.
Candidate Requirements
- Previous Parts Advisor experience preferred.
- Automotive or agricultural machinery knowledge essential.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Good computer literacy, including Microsoft Office.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks.
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
- Reliable and punctual with a positive attitude.
- Experience using dealer management systems advantageous but not essential.
