About the Role
We are looking for an experienced Vehicle Technician / Automotive Technician to join our busy dealership in Walton. This role is perfect for skilled technicians and mechanics who want to work on a wide range of vehicles, from routine servicing to complex repairs. You'll be part of a professional team that values technical expertise, efficiency, and excellent customer service.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct vehicle servicing, MOT preparation, maintenance, and repairs
- Diagnose mechanical and electrical faults accurately using diagnostic tools
- Perform engine, transmission, brakes, and suspension repairs
- Maintain detailed service records and ensure compliance with dealership standards
- Work collaboratively with workshop colleagues and communicate effectively with customers
Required Skills & Qualifications
- NVQ Level 3 in Vehicle Maintenance and Repair - MOT License Preferred (But not essential)
- Proven experience as a Vehicle Technician, Automotive Technician, or Car Mechanic
- Full UK manual driving license
- Own tools and toolbox
- Strong technical knowledge in automotive diagnostics, vehicle maintenance, and repairs
- Excellent communication and team-working skills
Desirable Skills
- Experience with dealer-level diagnostics and software
- Knowledge of hybrid and electric vehicles
- Ability to work efficiently under time pressures
