THE ROLE

As an Experienced Bodyshop Prepper, you will play a vital role within the paint department, ensuring every vehicle is prepared to the highest standard before entering the spray booth. Your attention to detail and commitment to quality will ensure vehicles receive a flawless finish while maintaining efficient workshop productivity.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare accident-damaged vehicles for paint, including sanding, filling, masking, and priming
  • Carry out panel preparation to manufacturer and bodyshop quality standards
  • Inspect repaired panels and surfaces to ensure they are ready for refinishing
  • Remove minor imperfections and complete final preparation before paint application
  • Work closely with Paint Sprayers, Panel Technicians, and MET Technicians to ensure efficient vehicle progression
  • Maintain a clean, organised, and safe working environment
  • Follow manufacturer repair methods, company procedures, and Health & Safety regulations
  • Complete all preparation work within agreed production times while maintaining exceptional quality standards

  • Previous experience as a Prepper within an automotive bodyshop or accident repair centre

  • Ability to work efficiently within a fast-paced production environment
