THE ROLE
As an Experienced Paint Sprayer, you will be responsible for preparing and refinishing accident-damaged vehicles to a high professional standard. You'll work as part of a skilled bodyshop team, producing high-quality paint finishes while ensuring vehicles are completed efficiently and in line with required repair and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare vehicle panels and surfaces for paint, including sanding, masking, priming and preparation
- Mix and apply modern water-based and solvent-based paint systems to required specifications
- Carry out full and partial resprays, colour matching, blending and refinishing
- Complete polishing and finishing work to achieve a high-quality factory-style finish
- Inspect completed work and rectify any imperfections to ensure excellent quality standards
- Work closely with Panel Technicians, MET Technicians and Workshop Controllers to maintain efficient vehicle throughput
- Maintain paint equipment, spray booths and working areas to a clean and safe standard
- Follow manufacturer repair methods, bodyshop quality standards and Health & Safety procedures
ABOUT YOU
We're looking for an experienced and quality-focused Paint Sprayer who takes genuine pride in their craftsmanship and has the technical ability to consistently produce excellent paint finishes.
- Proven experience as an Automotive Paint Sprayer, Paint Technician or Paint Refinisher within an accident repair/bodyshop environment
- Strong knowledge of modern automotive paint systems and refinishing techniques
- Experienced in colour matching, blending, full and partial resprays
- Strong preparation skills with the ability to achieve high-quality paint finishes
- Good knowledge of vehicle repair and bodyshop processes
- Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
- Ability to work efficiently within a busy production environment while maintaining high standards
- Professional, reliable and motivated approach
- Strong team player with the ability to work independently
- IMI and/or ATA qualifications advantageous
- Full UK Driving Licence preferred
