THE ROLE
As a Multi-Skilled Painter, you'll be responsible for delivering high-quality vehicle preparation, refinishing and paintwork while using your wider bodyshop skills to support the repair process where required. Working as part of a professional accident repair team, you'll ensure vehicles are prepared, painted and finished to the highest standards while collaborating with Panel Technicians, MET Technicians and the wider workshop team to maintain an efficient repair flow.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare vehicle panels and bodywork for painting, including sanding, masking, priming and preparation.
- Mix, match and apply paint using modern paint systems and professional refinishing techniques.
- Carry out blending, colour matching and full or partial vehicle refinishing to a high standard.
- Complete polishing, rectification and final finishing work to achieve an exceptional quality finish.
- Use your wider multi-skilled bodyshop experience to support additional repair activities where required.
- Work closely with Panel Technicians, MET Technicians and Workshop Controllers to maintain an efficient repair process.
- Ensure all work is completed in accordance with manufacturer repair methods, company procedures and required quality standards.
- Maintain a clean, safe and organised working environment while consistently delivering high-quality workmanship.
ABOUT YOU
We're looking for an experienced and versatile automotive paint professional who takes pride in producing exceptional finishes and is confident supporting multiple stages of the accident repair process. You'll ideally have:
- Previous experience as a Paint Sprayer, Paint Technician, Vehicle Painter or Multi-Skilled Bodyshop Technician.
- Strong experience within an automotive accident repair centre, bodyshop or vehicle refinishing environment.
- Excellent vehicle preparation, colour matching, blending and paint application skills.
- Experience carrying out polishing, rectification and final finishing work.
- Additional multi-skilled bodyshop experience would be highly advantageous.
- Strong knowledge of modern paint systems, repair methods and quality standards.
- Excellent attention to detail with a commitment to delivering first-time quality repairs.
- The ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a collaborative bodyshop team.
- A proactive, reliable and professional approach to work.
- Full UK Driving Licence.
