THE ROLE
As an Experienced Multi-Skilled Panel Beater, you will be responsible for carrying out high-quality structural and cosmetic body repairs while supporting other repair disciplines where required. Your versatility will enable vehicles to move efficiently through the repair process, ensuring outstanding quality, productivity, and customer satisfaction. Working as part of a highly skilled accident repair team, you'll repair vehicles to manufacturer-approved standards while maintaining the highest levels of workmanship, safety, and efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
- Carry out structural and cosmetic panel repairs using manufacturer-approved repair methods
- Remove, repair, and replace damaged body panels, including welding, alignment, and metal finishing
- Undertake minor MET duties, including the removal and refitting of trims, bumpers, lights, and associated components
- Carry out minor preparation work where required to assist vehicle progression through the paint process
- Identify additional damage and communicate repair requirements to the Vehicle Damage Assessor or Workshop Controller
- Work collaboratively with Paint, MET, and Workshop teams to achieve production targets and customer delivery deadlines
- Ensure all repairs comply with manufacturer repair methods, BS10125 standards, and company quality procedures
- Maintain excellent housekeeping standards while following all Health & Safety and COSHH regulations
ABOUT YOU
We're looking for an experienced, versatile, and quality-driven Multi-Skilled Panel Beater who takes pride in delivering exceptional repairs and consistently producing first-class workmanship.
- Previous experience as a Multi-Skilled Panel Beater within an automotive accident repair centre or bodyshop
- Strong experience in panel repairs, panel replacement, chassis alignment, welding, and structural repairs
- Competent carrying out minor MET strip and refit duties
- Experience supporting vehicle preparation where required to improve workshop efficiency
- Ideally IMI and/or ATA qualified (advantageous but not essential)
- Excellent understanding of manufacturer repair methods and modern body repair techniques
- Strong attention to detail with a commitment to quality workmanship
- Ability to work efficiently within a fast-paced production environment while achieving productivity targets
- Positive team player with excellent communication skills and a professional attitude
- Full UK Driving Licence required
